2014 Buick Regal review. At the New York Auto Show 2013 (March 29-April 7) was presented a preview of the new Buick Regal 2014 , facelift version . If you have noticed a certain resemblance to the Opel Insignia you are wrong: in fact, the big Buick sedan variant is overseas, so to speak, coach of the Lightning. In fact, the two cars are pretty much the same car and differ only in a few details: in this sense, that we can anticipate fairly accurately what will be the Opel Insignia facelift , often caught in spy photos . From the point of view of style, as we had anticipated for some time, the latter follows in the footsteps of Opel convertible Cascada , especially as regards the design of the headlights and the chrome strip on the trunk. Queue now has a decidedly more modern and personal , which surely can only bring benefit both to the image of the Buick.
While the sides of the Buick Regal / Insignia restyling remain practically invariant, the front is the part that most differs between the two cars. On Opel , in fact, will be different in shape the headlights (again inspired by those of Cascada), the mask and the bumper. Among the images you can also see the presence of the facelift on the sports version of the Buick Regal, which is the GS . This is nothing more than a sort of corresponding American Opel Insignia OPC . From the mechanical point of view, the variant pepper, strangely, lost horses, the maximum power increased from the previous 270 horsepower at an altitude of 259 hp developed by an inline four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine, while maintaining a torque of 400 Nm as past. Whereas the OPC mounts another engine, a 2.8 liter V6 turbo 325 horsepower, this means that we should not find news of any kind in the German list of Rüsselsheim. Going back to the Buick , the rest of the range, however, remains unchanged: we find the Turbo with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 220 hp and a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated 182 horsepower. The gearboxes are manual or automated, in both cases with six speeds.
The interiors include a new console commands from the central refreshed design, but also a new instrument. All this is topped off by the use of different coatings. From the point of view of safety many systems for driver assistance : Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Collision Mitigation Braking. No news special, in fact, just a beauty treatment of mid-career to continue to remain an attractive product for the market. Gallery photo of 2014 Buick Regal review.
